NEW AT WEDNESDAYSUN.COM The Wednesday Sun and the Johnson County Sun have many new features on their Web sites, www.wednesdaysun.com and www.sunpublications.com. Users can log in and pick their brackets today for the Sun’s NCAA basketball tournament bracket challenge. Users will be able to see scouting reports of each team, including video highlights and breakdowns of each teams’ roster. Users can even use “smack talk” to interact with friends and other users. Prizes include trips to Las Vegas, sports souvenirs and other prizes from local sponsors. The college basketball tournament begins play Thursday morning. The Web sites are now streaming video of Big 12 college athletics updated regularly in the Sports section. Also, college sports fans can go to the sites each week to see highlights from the week’s action. Recently, users saw highlights of Missouri winning the Big 12 men’s basketball tournament. Throughout the year, the sports will change and be updated regularly, allowing fans of any Big 12 school to get condensed highlights or to allow the casual fan to see highlights from throughout the Big 12. New this week to the entertainment section of the Web sites is free video from Hulu, which features video from television programs such as “The Office” and “Family Guy,” as well as “Saturday Night Live” clips and other full-length TV shows and movies.
LAST DAYS OF ‘DARK’ EXHIBIT The Union Station exhibit “Dialog in the Dark” closes this week. The exhibit leads visitors on a journey in complete darkness to understand the blind experience. Visitors travel through different but common areas and use their senses to guide them through the exhibit. Visually impaired people serve as tour guides. The remaining times to visit the exhibit are 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and Thursday, 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. Tickets can be reserved for a specific time. KC SYMPHONY DINNER BENEFIT Kansas City Symphony presents Murder In the Museum at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Armacost Museum, 4200 E. 135th St., Grandview. Visitors will be able to tour a private collection of classic cars at the museum, enjoy cocktails, dinner and dancing, and try to solve a murder mystery starring actors Dodie Brown and Jim Korinke, who have appeared in performances at the Kansas City Repertory Theatre, Unicorn Theatre and American Heartland Theater. Proceeds from the event, sponsored by Symphony Women’s Association, will benefit the symphony. To reserve tickets, call 537-4483.
