Despite some of the cool temperatures, there will be beach volleyball played in Kansas City this week. On Friday, the AVP tour brings its Hot Winter Nights tour to the Sprint Center for the second year.

This year's stop will feature more star power. Playing on the men's side will be Olympic gold medalists Todd Rogers and Phil Dalhausser. Appearing at the event, but not playing is female Olympic gold medalist Kerri Walsh.

Other players include Elaine Yojngs, Angie Akers, Dianne DeNocochea, Brittany Hochevar (sister of Kansas City Royals' pitcher Luke Hochevar) and Casey Jennings (Walsh's husband).

The doors open at 6:30 p.m. and action starts at 7:30 p.m. For more information visit www.sprintcenter.com or www.avp.com.
